Modern Eye Care Technology
in Spring Hill
Your eyes deserve more than a standard eye exam. At Spring Hill Eyecare, we’ve invested in technology that provides an extraordinary level of detail, allowing us to diagnose conditions earlier, treat them more precisely, and help you understand your eye health in a way most practices simply can’t.
Whether you’re managing dry eye, protecting your long-term vision, or improving the visual skills you need to excel in sports, every tool our eye doctors use has a purpose: better outcomes for you.
Here are some of the innovative technologies we use:
Advanced dry eye diagnosis & treatment
Dry eye is one of the most common and undertreated conditions we see. We use a combination of advanced diagnostic tools and proven treatments to find the exact cause of your discomfort and address it at the source, so you can get lasting relief instead of temporary fixes.
LipiFlow® thermal pulsation
Most dry eye is linked to blocked oil glands, which prevent tears from staying stable on the eye’s surface. LipiFlow uses gentle heat and massage to help clear those blockages, targeting the underlying cause rather than just easing symptoms.
IPL therapy — Lumenis M22 OptiLight
Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy reduces the inflammation that leads to chronic dry eye, including cases linked to rosacea. It’s an FDA-approved, non-invasive treatment that gets to the source of lid-margin inflammation.
OCULUS Keratograph® 5M
This advanced imaging system allows us to evaluate the surface of your eye in detail, including your tear film quality and oil gland structure. We’ll review the images with you so you can clearly see and understand what’s going on with your eyes.
TearLab Osmolarity Testing
A simple tear sample produces a precise osmolarity score that objectively measures your dry eye severity. This gives us a concrete baseline to track your progress and confirm that treatment is working.
Retinal imaging & early eye disease detection
Sight-threatening conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal disease can develop quietly, often without noticeable symptoms until damage has already occurred. With advanced retinal imaging technology, we’re able to see deeper and detect changes earlier than with a standard exam, helping protect your vision and support long-term eye health.
Optomap digital retinal imaging
A single, panoramic scan captures up to 80% of your retina in one image—far more than a standard exam. It’s fast, comfortable, and gives us an extraordinary view of your eye health, often without dilation.
ZEISS CIRRUS OCT
Optical coherence tomography creates a detailed cross-section of the layers inside your retina—like an MRI for your eye. It’s the most reliable way to detect glaucoma and macular degeneration at their earliest, most treatable stages.
RETeval ERG
While most imaging shows what the retina looks like, the RETeval measures how well it functions, detecting issues with electrical signal processing that structural scans can miss. Very few practices offer this level of testing.
QuantifEye MPOD Testing
Macular Pigment Optical Density is your eye’s natural defense against oxidative damage. QuantifEye measures your levels so we can identify risk and recommend nutrition or supplement strategies, protecting your central vision proactively.
Sports vision & neuro-visual training
Most athletic performance depends on split-second visual decisions, such as reading the field, tracking the ball, and reacting before your opponent. Our sports vision technology measures exactly where your visual system is holding you back, then trains it to perform at a higher level, whether you’re a youth athlete developing your skills or a competitor looking for every edge.
RightEye eye-tracking system
RightEye tracks exactly how your eyes move while you process visual information, revealing inefficiencies not detected during standard exams. It’s the starting point for every athlete’s vision training program.
